Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie Butter now in Cebu

Never have I been more excited about something, and to be one of the first to bring Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie Butter to Cebu is a thrill. If you've never heard of it then it's time you have! The pictures have been all over media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, etc... all to make your mouth water with envy. To be living in a provincial area in the Philippines, its hard to get our hands on a lot of things from the US, especially when this has just come out and been popularized last year. Lucky you if you have relatives and really good friends who bring you these as gifts, but for the rest of us who desperately want to get a taste of this (for lack of a better word) 'orgasm in your mouth', it's near impossible to buy on hand stocks of this here or even in Manila. I, too, have been waiting when this will be stocked in Cebu groceries and malls. There's talk that it might come soon to Rustan's, but there's no definite time when and prices will probably double. I'm so happy I was able to talk to someone who would gladly provide me with stock to share with all of you.

Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookies are made from Speculoos cookies that originate from Belgium with great crunch, it is slightly caramelized  with an almost but not quite gingerbread flavor. The look and consistency resembles peanut butter, but it is in fact spreadable Speculoos cookies. It has two variations, from creamy to crunchy, that can be paired with almost anything (sweets, fruits, vegetables) and can be used for baking. Recipes can also be found all over the internet as to how to use it for baking and preparing treats and snacks.

I hope all of you are as excited as I am about bringing this to Cebu. Yes, you could order it online from the US  and still pay as much (or even more) and wait as long (or longer) compared to the pre-order system when you order through me. Also, online prices range from Php400-Php600, some would add shipping fees depending on your area. But I assure you I'm selling it in a much affordable and reasonable price =)
